Advice for bikini hair removal???

So I have never waxed my bikini line or genital area as I have heard such horror stories on how much it hurts to get it done. I shave it but after I do I break out in so many red bumps it looks like I have some horrible disease and its sooo emberassing! I cant even wear a swimsuit without making sure I have shorts on. The worst part is that I cannot shave again for weeks until they are mostly gone or at least feel better! What can I do to make this feel better ( I have tried lotion/liquid depilatories and every kind of cream out there for red bumps, I have also tried shaving cream, baby oil, no shaving cream, soap, no soap) or is the best solution really to wax? If so does it really hurt as bad as people make it out to be or am I just being a baby and watch too many movies??

Oh no it hurts! But only the first few times. As you hair grows back it will be finer and less painful to be removed. If you are going to have it done take a tylenol a few hours before your appointment that'll help with the pain. Some places have a numbing spray they spray on you before the service. Also, try not to get it done the week before your period your skin's a little more sensitive.
