Hair removal cream on shaved area?

How would this eventuate?
If I shaved my cheek to get a more precise finish/line/edge - in which the shaver would touch on the upper cheek, so then straight-after, I used a hair removal cream on the upper cheek, so that the hair wouldnt grow back stubbly as if it had been shaved. Or would shaving it initially, most likely still affect it?

Not a good idea to use a depilatory (chemical removal cream) right after you've shaved, best to wait at least 1-2 days before using. Actually, it is not a good idea to use either after the other. I've done it before with bad results. The razor will nick your skin and then using a depilatory will cause the skin to blister and tear, yes tear; you may end up with small open sores! Even in reverse the depilatory causes the keratin in the epidermis to become very soft and a straight razor can easily nick and cut the epidermis (skin). This combination use would most likely cause the skin to become irritated and sensitive.

I say stick with which one that works best for you.
