Oh what women go through. And some times I do not fully understand it. I probably should not be admitting to this seeing how I write all about women fashion trends. Essentially their likes and dislikes. But understanding fashion trends is one thing, understanding a woman's mind is an entirely different thing.
In this article you will see a man's view of the woman's trend and fashion world. I am not the typical guy in a few senses. I am the type of guy who actually enjoys shopping with his wife. Who actually has an opinion of what looks good and does not. One reason I actually don't mind writing this weblog. Even enjoy it.
This article as well as the next few will be from a different perspective though. I will be looking at those things women go through to be simply...women.
The first of many different ideas I would like to venture: Artificial Beautification. This is a highly evaluated subject with many different ideas for reason. The foremost of which being the picture the world (or in other words photoshop) paints of what women should look like. Even just recently I came across a new group on Facebook entitled "Redefining Beautiful" taking an approach to speak out against the Hollywood definition of women. To this I agree but think it is a bit more than this.
Yesterday my wife came home with botox in her forehead. Did she need it? I don't think. In fact a few times I have told her that I would prefer she not do anything like that but let her know that those decisions will always be completely up to her.
So every once in a while my wife will come home with a new change. Some are slight and some are not. I asked her today, "why do you do that?" In response a got a few answers. To prevent aging and look younger now, to feel better about yourself. But most of all she said that secretly it's a competition with other women. Who can look the best really.
At least to a point I think I slightly understand. For myself I have recently began doing laser hair removal both on the chest and feet. Really I can't stand the hair in either area. That is my only reason for wanting to do it. For myself and not anyone else. But for some reason I feel with women it is much more complex than this.
In my opinion there may be better ways for someone to feel good about themselves. But for each person they may take the action of their choice that meets their personality.
