Permanent Hair Removal Gel

who knows the name of this permanent hair removal machine?

Hi a few years ago at a Health exhibition I was given a small test on a machine to remove hair. As I remember it was a small tv sized box, gel was smothed onto my arm and a pen activated the gel for 10 minutes. It was completely painless and the test patch I had done removed the hairs. I have tried a full lazer course costing me a fortune but maybe because I have such blond white hairs they did not fall out. There was not even a reduction in hair after 8 sessions costing nearly 2 thousand pounds as I wanted my legs done too. The lazer had the supposed special light filter for blond hair. There is no money back guarantee with this treatment and so i can't afford it again. Anyone know what the hair removal system with the pen and the gel could of been or any suggestions for a cheaper alternative to lazers. Thanks
