Under Arms Laser Hair Removal Cost
Getting laser hair removal for my under arms?
Getting laser hair removal for my under arms? Any pros and cons I should know about? Any suggestion/tips? Any idea of average cost? Any side effects?
I suggest that you ask for the numbing cream because they won't always use it. Second, make sure the doctor puts on a good amount of the cooling gel. Enough that it feels soothing. Next, do not make sure that the doctor puts the machine on really high power. I understand the point of the guy who responded before me, but if you advise your doctor to do that it will not be safe. The doctor knows what he/she is doing, let them do their job. The problem is that the power level is adjusted to the type of skin and hair, that is why you can't have the doctor just raise the level all the way to high. If the doctor does this your skin color could change and you could have depigmentation. Laser hair removal works best for people with light skin and dark hair. Now when the doctor performs the procedure, it should feel like a rubberband snapping against your skin. If it is too powerful and you feel you are in pain, you should let the doctor know you are uncomfortable and ask the doctor to lower the power on the machine. Lower power may mean more treatments, but it is safer. You don't want your skin color to change. Also if the pain is very bearable, you can suggest to the doctor to raise the power. Now when the procedure is done, if it does become too painful do not jerk your body away. This could cause the heat to not go to the hair follicle, but to your skin and leave a scar. After the treatment there may be a little redness in the area, but that is all. The most treatments you could probably have is 7. After that it is over. Someone above mentioned shaving is better, this is not true. The hair does go away. There is just no guarantee because in some rare cases the hair has grown back. Anyways, good luck with the treatment and don't be scared, its not that painful.
